Recruiting Supporting Members & Financial Contributions
The Mie International Exchange Foundation (MIEF) promotes various programs
to help people living in the same community to understand different cultures
and living habits and to create a society in which people respect each
other. We are currently accepting applications from people who want to
be members.
Monetary donations made to MIEF (e.g. member fees) are tax deductible for
individuals.
What is a supporting member?
Supporting members are people who support the Mie International Exchange
Foundation (MIEF) with an annual fee.
The annual fees will be used in various programs to promote internationalization,
international exchange and cooperation in Mie Prefecture.
Membership fee
- Annual fee
- 3,000 yen for individual members.
12,000 yen for organizations.
* Fees are collected every July.
Benefits of being a supporting member
- You will receive the quarterly issued MIEF newsletter, "MIEF NEWS". (English/Portuegese MEIF's newsletter is also available on request for those interested.)
- You will receive notices on events that MIEF sponsors and participate for free.
- You can borrow country flags. (There are currently 149 available for use)
- You will get a 10% discount off accomodation/rental fees at hotels operated by the Green Group.
- The 2000 yen fee to use MIEF's volunteer translators/interpreters is waived.
